Live From Siem Reap, Cambodia

At least we’re consistent…

Consistently late, that is.

I just wanted to post a quick update on where we are.

After a nice vacation on Phu Quoc Island, we took a high-speed ferry back to mainland Vietnam. We crossed into Cambodia and stayed four nights in Phnom Penh then moved onto Siem Reap where we arrived yesterday afternoon.

Don’t worry, we’ve got some posts about all that in the works.

Siem Reap – We’re Here for Angkor Wat Of Course

It’s 1:30 in the afternoon here and as you can see it’s raining. Undeterred, Ben pestered me until we finally went out for a swim. Just he and I as it turns out.

I’d like to report that the girls are doing homework in this photo. But I think they’re entertaining themselves.

Does Emma look indignant here?

We’re staying at the Le Meridien Angkor, a Starwood property. A whopping (sarcasm) 3,000 Starpoints for Friday and Saturday night stays. And 4,000 Starpoints for week night stays. We each get 500 Starpoints as a ‘welcome gift’ which helps further offset the cost of our two rooms.

We may stay in Siem Reap for a week or so before heading on to Thailand.

Although the rain has lightened a bit at times, it’s pretty wet with no sign of stopping.

Hotel bound. But it’s a nice place to be stuck.

Though the lounge doesn’t open until 4:30… sigh.

As always, excuse the crappy old iPad photo quality.
